Today we will highlight a case study of Matthew A., IT manager who travels, and uses USB over Ethernet to sync his phone with his computer while away from home.
Industry: IT.
Matthew A.: I work far from home, and lately it’s become difficult to work without syncing my phone during the day. Some software I use doesn’t take advantage of Apple’s iCloud so it requires a USB sync. Seeing as how my computer is at minimum 60 miles from where I work during any given day this is not possible. Once I discovered USB over Ethernet I found a solution to my problem. USB over Ethernet lets me sync my phone from my travel computer to my workstation at home. I no longer have to worry about leaving documents or media files behind by accident. This also saved me a huge nightmare when my phone needed to be swapped at an Apple store mid-day and nothing was on it. (The original day I looked for a solution in USB over Ethernet) USB over Ethernet is the only solution of this type that reliably syncs a device. I was even able to do a firmware upgrade over the remote USB connection without issue.
Alex Taylor: What challenges made you search for this kind of software?
Matthew A.: Having to sync or restore my phone while 60+ miles from home forced me to find a remote USB connection tool. Electronic Team, Inc. was the only one I could find for Mac that didn’t lose connection half-way through the sync.
Alex Taylor: How did you get to know about our software?
Matthew A.: I found Electronic Team's Inc. product by searching Google for “sync usb device over Ethernet”.
Alex Taylor: Did you try other products for the same task before choosing Electronic Team, Inc. solution? Why did you prefer our product?
Matthew A.: I tried one product before hand but the connection was lost half-way through. It corrupted my phone, and left me without my device all day until I could return home.
Alex Taylor: Please, describe how you are using our product now.
Matthew A.: I remotely sync my iPhone with my computer at home because certain apps I use don’t take advantage of iCloud for security reasons. Updating the app contents can be a pain when working far from my house where my computer is.
Alex Taylor: How did you benefit from using USB over Ethernet
Matthew A.: USB over Ethernet saves me from having to put all my personal iPhone sync data on my travel laptop where it can be lost, or stolen.
